An invitation to observe how we spend our time. A series of performances recorded in video serve as an artifact to bring attention to the time spent on “the virtual world” (phones, computers, TV, etc.) as a critique to the lack of presence with which we transit our everyday life. Technology and the internet brought a promise of emancipation from the passing of time but this seems to have turned into a limbo where we are no longer able to grasp the minutes in an hour. Considering that time is the basic matter of life, there is an urgency for regaining agency over how we spend our time. This project aims to bring attention to what we miss when screens become a leisure artefact and an important part of our everyday life. Through a series of performances intended to ridicule our attitude towards technology by highlighting the passing of time in the beauty of the ephemeral.
