Collection of images taken in the winter in Mallorca in juxtaposition with interviews with senior inhabitants of Pollença, a town in the north of Mallorca, who lived through the transformation of the island from a small-town arrangement to an international touristic destination with thousands of visitors a year. As they reminisce about how the island was before tourism became so omnipresent, these voices bring forward the issues that this economic practice entails for the community. In their silent emptiness, the vast infrastructures become a symbol of nearly a century of incremental touristic exploitation. The residual presence of a recurrent guest.
